An experienced leader with over 20 years in the media industry, Hinson specializes in project management, emerging technologies and strategic planning. As VP of Technology at Disney’s ABC owned television station in Houston, he oversees the team of broadcast and IT engineers that keep the market’s No. 1 station on air. He also supports the implementation of technology initiatives across ABC’s eight owned and operated stations, and manages the team of streaming operators programming the group’s 17 streaming channels.
Hinson’s background includes a progressive tenure at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, where he managed video productions and oversaw television operations for the Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs. He holds an MBA from LeTourneau University and dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. Outside of work, he is on the board of directors for Bay Area Turning Point, an organization supporting victims of domestic violence, and he has encyclopedic knowledge of Texas BBQ. |
