Program Specialty Coordinator--Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy Residency ProgramsMemorial Hermann Health SystemElaina Parker graduated Summa cum Laude from Purdue University with her Bachelors of Science in 2013 and then went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 2016. Elaina began her Physical Therapy career by completing Memorial Hermann’s Orthopedic Residency Program in 2017 becoming board certified in Orthopedics in 2018 and Sports in 2020. Post residency graduation, Ellie stayed on within the Memorial Hermann system to support the expansion of the Orthopedic Residency program by laying the foundation of strong mentorship and collaboration within the clinic. During her time in Pearland, she volunteered for the Houston women’s professional soccer team, the Houston Dash, helping to establish their sports medicine team for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
Elaina then transferred to the Katy area in 2021, became a Sports Site Coordinator and assisted in leading collaboration efforts with Katy ISD. She currently spearheads the care for collegiate and professional athletes in the clinic and is the clinic lead for Memorial Hermann’s Knee Center of Excellence group. Within the Memorial Hermann Residency program, she mentors other clinicians on their clinical and mentorship skills, develops the resident’s yearly curriculum, and co-leads the Leadership Module. Alongside her clinical journey she completed St. John the Divine’s Foundational Leadership Course in 2020 and yearly attends the Global Leadership Summit. Ellie also completed Memorial Hermann’s Ambulatory Leadership Academy in 2022 with her team's project of a Scheduling Management Tool was implemented into the ambulatory division. She enjoys solving puzzles, completing home DIY projects, golfing, and spending time outdoors with friends and family. |
